About Horse Heaven Studios

Hello there! My name is Caroline Sigwalt, and I’m just a small town girl trying live out a big dream. I have been painting and customizing model horses since 2013. I started an Instagram (@horseheavenstudios) in 2014 and have been in the hobby painting ever since. I took lots of commissions and had plenty of pictures over the years of my customs up until 2016. In 2016 I took a bit of a break due to personal reasons. I came back recently in the beginning of 2019 and I am ready to pursue a side career in the model horse industry. Some of the mediums I use are acrylics, oils, earth pigments, and pastels. Most of the models I paint now are done mostly with an airbrush and hand painted details. I am constantly improving my skill set and it is great to compare my work from previous years and see how much I have improved.

Here is an inside scoop of what my life is outside of model horses. I’ve been riding horses since I was old enough to walk, and I’ve been around horses my entire life. I’ve had ponies, draft horses, and Arabians, but my favorite horses are Quarter horses and Paint horses. I personally have 2 horses, Mel and Riggs. My main passion is barrel racing, I travel all over the state of Iowa going to jackpots and rodeos. I am very blessed to have the life that I have.
